Marc Van De Mieroop est un historien spécialiste du Proche-Orient ancien. Il est Miriam Champion Professor of History, et directeur du Center for the Ancient Mediterranean, à Columbia University, New York. Il est l'auteur de nombreux articles et ouvrages dont :
